AMSTERDAM, Netherlands – February 12, 2008 – Streamline Studios, an independent game developer and leading digital content provider for AAA videogames, and Black Hole Recordings, a leading electronic music record label, announced today the formation of Streamline Sound, a joint venture dedicated to providing sound solutions for digital entertainment.
Streamline Sound combines Streamline’s existing audio services and 5.1 studio with the entire artist roster and catalog of Black Hole Recordings, including Grammy-nominated electronic music superstar Tiësto, as well as a large number of independent composers and musicians.

Develop magazine recently featured Streamline Sound’s Tom Pearce in an interview concerning audio outsourcing. “As with other aspects of development, audio is increasingly produced by external creators. When you consider the cost of a fully-loaded studio, composers, and engineers in-house, being able to turn to professional producers who will create all the audio and music you need makes a lot of sense. And when we’re not working on a project you don’t have to pay us,” said Pearce. |
