Over the more than 30 years that Tom has worked in the music industry composition and performing have always been closest to his heart.
Outside of the gaming world he has produced and arranged for numerous pop and rock artists, enjoying the challenge of working with young, unsigned talent in particular. He has also composed extensively for television and other media.
Working with his occasional composition partner, drummer Charlie Morgan (Kate Bush, Elton John, Billy Joel, and others), Tom has composed work for major music publishers, Music House/E.M.I., for example, as well as creating specialist scores for projects such the BBC’s “Human Rights, Human Wrongs” series.
His solo work includes the orchestral score for “Save the Turtles” for National Geographic Channel, rock and pop compositions for Dutch national television programs and commercials, and work for Discovery Channel and other international broadcasters.
Even in this computer-dominated age he still prefers to base his work on ‘real’ instruments and spends more time amongst his guitar collection than behind his synthesizers.
